Michael was born in
1977 and raised in the Canadian province
of British Columbia. The love of gospel music was infused in his
heart at a very young age by his parents, and grand-parents, who were both
involved in music in some shape or form. He began to sing at his church youth group
in 1997 where eventually crowds of up to 600 teens would gather weekly to
worship God with music. It was in this
time that Michael's most well known song Freedom Reigns was written. In 1999, Michael began his recording journey
as he was a part of the worship release entitled "The Well, Live and In the
Spirit." The album
garnered much attention for its raw, youthful passion and was dubbed Worshipmusic.com's "Album of the Year, Editor's
Choice." By 2004, Michael
began to lead worship at various gatherings around the world and soon
realized that it had become a full-time calling. 2007 saw Michael team up with the record
label ION Worship, (Ionworship.org) and the birth of his first
internationally released record "Perfect Love." Michael and his family (wife Jennie and 2
children) live in Langley,
